WITH MATTEO MARINI

Based in Italy, Matteo Marini has been around for more than a decade, sharing his talent for progressive house productions with dozens of releases and remixes on label such as Deeperfect, Black Hole Recordings, Loud Bit Recordings, Bazzoka, Songbird ad Atlantis Italy.
Consistently on the top ten of Beatports progressive charts, Matteo is now giving you exclusive access to a premium selection of his trademark background beats, offering you 100s of irresistible top loops just waiting for you to add your preferred kick flavour.
FL – What are your main music influences? What drove you into dance music, more particularly Progressive ?
My musical influences are from the years 70/80 as Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Tangrine Dream, Dream Theater, AH-A, and the international electronic scene in general. Actually I love Deadmau5, Edx, Armin, Tiesto, Hardwell, Hardrock Sofa, Dada Life, Avicii and Jerome Isma-e
FL – Do you use samples in your productions?
Of course, I using samples of my productions, Future Loops, Zero G, Sample Magic etc
FL – Can you tell us a bit about your usual setup when producing music?
I always used Cubase since the Atari STE, I still use hardware as Prophet08, Little Phatty, Virus TI, Expander Emu, Korg MS10, Roland SH101 and Sh09 and Yamaha DX7
FL- What are your favorite VST plugins ?
Obviously Sylenth01, Nexus, Predator and Massive
FL - What´s the audio hardware of your dreams (and do you have it yet)?
Having a Moog Modular! ??? :)
FL – When you first started producing music what software/hardware were you using ? And what changed the most in terms of your work flow while producing music since then ?
I used an atari STE with cubase 2.1, Yamaha DX7, Roland tr727, Roland dj70, DS330, Emu proteus 1 and Korg T3. Today it is much more immediate and easy for everyone to try to make music. I wanted this facility 15 years ago, but it was better that way!
FL- You are starting a new track , what do you usually create first : beat/drums , melody or bass ?
I usually begin by imagining themselves Playing my Keyboard and after I create beats and grooves, while sometimes I make a very strong groove and try to improvise musical harmonies.
FL – How do you see the Progressive scene today and how do you think it will evolve ?
I see the ever-evolving progressive today and I think that will always be more present in the club
FL - In conclusion , a word to the Future Loops and Matteo Marini fans out there. What are in your opinion the highlights of Matteo Marini Top Loops and Matteo Marini Sylenth Soundset and how do you see them being used?
The loops are all beautiful :) but honestly prefer to create synth sounds.I´ve always been a programmer since I was 15 years sounds. If you listen to my productions many details of my loops are present as the sounds for Sylenth01. I recommend, ascolatate my tracks and tell me!! I thank all my fans for their support, you are my strength!
